My Work

I helped to build a framework for newly established teams to iterate effective solutions. Before planning the Daimler AG’s workshop, I analyzed the obscure demand of “improving working experience” into three phases – “making clear of the problem”, “evaluating the problem” and “solving the problem” so that suitable thinking tools can be located respectively.

Tool-Boxes

I used research tools such as Persona and Travel Board to helped Daimler retail department employees to brainstorm their behavior, words, difficulty and emotional feeling to verify mutually in producing real user images: an IT retail department employee who was tortured by endless meetings and low working efficiency. By using effect-cost quadrant tool, I helped evaluate the 8 pain points extracted and tried to solve the one most deserved and showed relevant low cost – reducing internal consumption in the cooperation and improving working efficiency. I offered tools including paper module, Story Board and Lego to help them demonstrate their own thoughts. In just half an hour, they’ve been able to design an ideal open working environment with an LED screen to coordinate meeting time and PC-end applications to allocate tasks. The workshop I designed have offered a chance for these employees to create a clear solution to improve their working efficiency. It is foreseeable that the solutions would be adopted in corporate operation.

Guide Pamphlet

I designed two items for this workshop. One is the handbook which give the participants to get a realization of which step they are at, what to do next, how to find pain points and evaluate their ideas. One is the blank form and diagram.

Empathy

Interview their colleague and practice the very beginning of user research with the help of tips. Use Persona to create a specific person fit Daimler's working climate. Use the journey map to find existing and potential painpoints

Evaluation

Use the Profit- Cost coordinate to evaluate which pain points deserve to be solved.

IDEATE

Brain storm and evaluate their solutions through different perspectives, HR cost, time cost, urgent level, practical difficulties and etc.
Then the participants choose several (5, 6) reference to evaluate the feasibility of their idea and solutions.

PROTOTYPE-A

Draw the story board to quick describe the problem and problem solving scenario. Then use the role playing to simulate and prototype this solution.

PROTOTYPE-B

Share solutions by presentation and discuss with other group.
